People always have. I never see him on the top 10 lists of center, or Power forward(which is what I think he is and dammit he's top 5 in that regard)

I guess it's because no one watches him since he's only played in 2 small markets since he developed.

Even if you leave off Andrew Bogut, for all his recent injuries, Noah still cannot be higher than 4th. Marc Gasol is unequivocally better than Joakim Noah. That's not up for debate. Same is true for Andrew Bynum.

I think Chandler is probably better, tho Noah is a great passer. But it's hard to rank because Chandler doesn't get the consistent teamwork with the Knicks, even tho he is playing great.

Hibbert is probably better but he's gotta prove it past one season first. Andrew Bogut is certainly ahead if he's healthy again. Al Horford, I don't know. I also don't know if he's really a center. Greg Monroe, don't know if he's a center, but he's like Hibbert in that he's proving it now (tho he is gonna be better than Hibbert). Cousins is like Monroe, tho he can be even better and probably better than all bar Dwight.

Also, Tim Duncan has played center since 2008. And while he's not the same Duncan, I can suggest he's still the better player. And BTW, I like Noah a lot.

Anyone wonder if Noah, like his buddy Horford, is really a PF?

Seriously what does Monroe do better, besides pass? He may have a better head on his shoulder than DMC but he's clearly less talented and isn't producing as much.

    David Lee.

Does that make him a top center too?

Jo is in the conversation for top 5 center in the league. Definitely not better than Dwight or Bynum though.

Him hitting his 10-15 foot jumper makes him extremely dangerous. Also, I don't think there is another center in the league who can rebound the ball and run the break like Noah can. Awesome handles and passing ability for someone his size.

He still needs to work on his post game though to be a more complete player if you ask me, and he's come a long way from when he entered the league. There are a handful of centers with more talent than him (Monroe, Hibbert, Gasol) but none of them bring the motor, energy, fearlessness, or intangibles that Noah does.

actually, if ya go to nba.com and do a player compare? monroe beats him even if slightly in all categories but rebs and blks. Add to that Greg has a much better head on his shoulders and the fact that Greg gets nothing but accolades from teammates and I would say hes better. Greg gets a bad image as far as his athletecism is concerned because hes not a high flier. Greg will pick the pocket of a guard on the pick and roll and then run the break to the other end. DMC reminds me of a less stable Derrick Coleman. Whereas Greg reminds me of a mix of Tim Duncan and a little Hakeem the dream. Both high praise but if you and others can bear with me, The kid is growing by the game and really is cerebral in his approach. He will be an all star and I just hope he stays in a Piston uni.

So even with the "second best center" the Bulls can't win?

I wonder what the excuses will be this time.

That's funny cause apparently the lakers have the best center and best player in the game and they're still shit.

I think it is mainly because people don't know whether or not he is a PF or C.

It reminds me of Lamar Odom and Rashard Lewis a few years ago. They played both SF and PF during their primes but no ranking ever had either one of them in it because nobody knew which position they belonged to.
