I believe gts had mentioned last season that Rambis had designed the lakers new defense. That was a really flawless defense and I hope we can still use it this season.

I really believe we let someone valuable get away.

It was certainly a gimmick.

I'd rather we just focused on our guys staying in front of their man instead of giving them lane's to help that may not be there.

In anyways, i'm glad for Kurt and congrats to him. I hope he succeeds.

I am with you interms of focussing in keeping their men in front of them, but certain players like Fisher who understandibly aged, have difficulty doing this. I felt they still used this type of defense in the playoffs and it still worked in fair no. of times. To me it's a matter of reacting to what the other team is doing. If they repeatedly burned you by hitting open shooters and these shooters were on fire in the corners, then switch to another kind of scheme.
If the other team struggles in the perimeter, then they are still ok IMO bec you are basically stopping their high FG% penetrations.

Wow, people have really mulled this one over. I am just happy for Mr. Kent. He has really payed his dues, I mean bigtime. Waited a long time for his shot. With sota, sacto or where ever, I am just happy for the guy.

2 good questions, for the first, I don't think they are in a hurry to name his replacement. I checked some lakers websites, none mentioned about it.
About the triangle. Kurt told 710 espn sports radio around 2:30pm that he probably would NOT use the triple post offense bec. he wants to unravel the potential of his 2 good pt guards. He pointed out that his 2 huge assets would thrive under a different system...
