Honestly...he should have played in the summer league team.

That way we would have got to SEE him play but if cupcake and Pjax are happy about him then I trust them.

Especially phil having a great sense of judgement.

Default shammond will be a good player

he played well in seatle when given minutes. he doesnt need to play point, but he got shot. defense dont really know now, but wasnt too good when in the league. he is a veteran, 31 years old. plus he is only making like a mil and a half. banks is too expensive he want to entire mid level, and that is gone, bi annual is gone to shammond. lakers have no more $ left, only way to get banks is to sign and trade, with maybe GEORGE, he is a minnesota native, maybe? but doubt it, lakers have full roster

I say trade George and Cook.

we can get one decent back up from that.

then we can have a roster of 14

What the hell is playing in the summer league going to prove?

That's weak. Summer league is meaningless.

Fatboy, you said we lack in the knowledge department, but your team traded rudy gay AND stromile swift for.....SHANE BATTIER? COME ON! You guys traded the best SF in the draft along with one of the best shot blockers in the league for a perimeter defender who can't score? I mean, it's not like he's the next Ben Wallace or something.

It shows who stands out in the inexperienced class of basketball players...how would you plan on differentiating which undrafted rookies to sign or other rookies. Summer league gives a chance to players to show thay can dominate the inexperienced group of guys so they can have a chance in competing at the next level...just because they dont play against only NBA players doesnt mean coaches and gm's cant see potential in young players...it also allows rookies to get some practice in before training camp and allows coaches to see if they can handle real NBA games...if williams played in the summer league...at least we can see if he is in the upper tier young point guards...

Jannero Pargo woulda done better because hes a small, quick, fast, young gaurd who can defend guys like tony parker.

i wish we would have gotten pargo...i was watching him a year or 2 ago on the bulls...at the end of the season he was getting big minutes and he was putting up 3's assists and points...not to mention he has some familiarity with the lakers triangle..im not understanding the lakers picking up williams...maybe he is a lot better than what i know of...

Well I'm not surprised. I knew Jannero would be good.

He works hard. In Phil's book he talked about how Jannero was very dedicated always being the first to show and the last to leave.

We should have kept him for this time in which we need a quick PG to defend Iverson and Nash..

You know who else would have been great that defended Iverson very well in the finals?

Tyronn Lue, great at keeping up with the gaurds.
