This myth that the Lakers acquired Gasol for "nothing" is starting to really piss me off. They, the Lakers, gave up Javaris Crittenton (solid prospect, better player than current backup PG Jordan Farmar), multiple 1st round picks, a $9 mil expiry in Kwame Brown and Marc Gasol (regarded by many scouts as being better than his brother Pau at the same age).

Your right, giftrapping Gasol didn't happen. The tightening of the rims at halftime is totally believable though. Go watch the Raptors or something

So this is the reason why teams have had such great success in their own buildings these playoffs.

Keep on reaching buddy, have I not been saying that Posedion's theory is complete bull**** this entire thread? Yeah, I thought so.

The funny thing is that you still have no idea what is so damn wrong about your statement. Get a damn clue.

So, what bandwagon are you going to be on next season then? Did you even know the Celtics existed before this season or what? Wait, you are a lifetime long Celtics fan right?

Keep on thinking that Jerry West giftwrapped Gasol for the Lakers though.

Al Jefferson>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kwa-may Brown.

Al Jefferson was 1 out of only 5 players to average a double double this season..he is a future all-star.Kwame will be cherry picking in 2 years.

The Lakers offered the Wolves a much better package then what Boston offered (Bynum, Odom, Kwame, Farmar + #1 pick for KG).....but Celtic blood runs thicker than water.

Says it all. a 1st in 08 and 2010 which are sure to be end of the first picks, and a 9 million Kwame expirer for an all star? Don't mention Crittenton, you know the 3rd string PG and Aaron Mcckie who was a throw in. Anyone who would do that trade from Memphis standpoint is braindead. Garbage

Pretty much. Bynum is gonna be equal or superior to Al Jeff and Odom and Kwame are expirers. Celts fans acting like they didn't get a gift. I'm glad though, Lakers kept Bynum and Odom and added Gasol.

No doubt. Don't get me wrong, KG is a fantastic player....but gimme the trio of Bynum, Gasol and Odom over Garnett any day of the week. Actually it's a no brainer. Thank God that McFail rejected that trade. Talk about a blessing in disguise.
