Thumbs up The Lakers aka The Baby Bulls

Michale Jordan=Kobe Bryant(closest player to resemble Jordan skill level in the post Jordan era.)

Scottie Pippen=Lamar Odom (Just as versitile,a little bit taller, not close as a defender but all in all a solid comparison of two point fowards.

Toni Kukoc=Vlad Rad( He is expected to give the lakers what Kukoc gave th e bulls a reliable three point shooter that could spread the floor.but vlad is a slight bit better than kukoc was.

Dennis Rodman=Ronny Turiaf(Full energy oesn't care about scoring is not close in rebouding but gives that same sense of toughness. he guards centers and has a better offensive game then Rodman.

Luc Longley=Chris Mihm(Lets be honest longley sucked Mihm is way better than longley ever was.

Do ya'll think the lakers are trying to build a similar team to those championship bulls teams

I think everyone in the starting 5 is acccurate except turiaf and rodman. I believe it was Rodman who was the xfactor for the latter 3 championships. His rebounding, defense, and energy really took that Bulls team to another level...and i think that is what the lakers lack if they really want to be a contender....plus they had ron harper who was a huge role player as was steve kerr...

turiaf and rodman was based on me believing that turiaf will mature into that type of player that does the dirty work. but I do understand what you are talking about.

with harper and kerr I didn't feel there was any laker players that skill set compared to them. maybe a smush/harper comparison but I don't think they compare to much.

Trade Chris Mihm, Devean George, and Brian Cook for REggie Evans and Jamal Crawford and you are really talking about the Baby Bulls of 2006.

Evans= Rodman (rebounding machine, and tough)
Crawford = Harper ( a poor man's Jordan; in this case, a poor man's Bryant)

if those 5 guys are like the Bulls than with Kwame Brown, and Maurice Evans, they should have a dynasty. i think that was kind of cheesy to make that kind of comparison.
just my humble opinion=)
