I know he's not a PG, which is why I said he's a shooting gaurd trapped in a PG's body. You can't even begin to compare AI to Langdon. AI is quick and can obviously create his own shot. He was the PG in Philly, Karl uses him differently in Denver. Yes, he is also less talented than Gordon. Gordon can create his own shot and has quicker feet. I compare the two because they are about the same size. You can't compare Ray Allen either. At least he is 6'5", besides the fact that his game is so much better than Langdon's it isn't even funny. If Langdon was as good as Ray Allen he'd be making a ton of money in the NBA. Obviously it isn't so he can't. Size wise Fernandez has 2 inches on Langdon too. I'm not sure he's going to do well in the NBA either.

It's not impossible to be an undersized shooting gaurd. There are certainly people who have done it, but the difference is they were incredible athletes who could create shots for themself and can stay in front of a person on defense. Langdon could never do this here.

No way, there are a lot of teams he couldn't even make the squad. If there were a couple of desperate teams he will still just sit the bench.

I can live if you really believe that but you're wrong, you're wrong, you're wrong and you're wrong

Please read the thread ,afterall i am replying to your comments,I was not comparing iversen and allen with langdon in terms of quality but size!Navarro is shorter than Langdon and did well in the NBA.Gordon is not a better player I maintain that, not going to argue because we just have separte opinions on that.Atleast I have seen both play regularly, you clearly haven't.

Go through the NBA rosters. I've already posted about Detroit, San Antonio, and Utah. We can look at the other good teams in the league too like New Orleans, Boston, etc. Even on a team like the Magic he wouldn't fit. I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree

I've certainly seen enough. Navarro was mostly a PG over here which was part of my point. The other part is we can compare size all day but you do have to figure in the skill of the players too. Nobody would think Nate Robinson could be in the league at all if you just look at how tall he is but he is a phenomenal athlete for his size. Langdon is not a phenomenal athlete for his size like those other players. It makes sense to figure skill in because that's nearly what the whole discussion is about.

I don't care how good Bowen is defensively, but Langdon is a better player.Bowen however is instrumental in the way spurs play and is a specialist player,he is there to defend.Ironically Langdon is an excellent defender.Anyway I agree to disagree but as I say you need to see more of him cause you clearly haven't.

Funny that .the grizz games I saw must have been the ones where Navarro was just thrown in as a "see if you get a couple of shots or drives" guy.I never saw him play point. But then I might have a more conservative view of what a point guard is.

Please everyone stop, Popovich is a very smart and pragmatic man and he would find away to have both of them contribute in his rotation

Bowen starts at SF which is a position Langdon wouldn't be playing. If we wanted to compare SG's on San Antonio it would be Ginobli and Finley both of which I am sure we can agree are better than Langdon. Langdon was a terrible defender here, even in his glory days in college.

I like how this has obviously been a productive thread and caused discussion which is good. But like bjerk I think its dead in the water its got to the point where we all agree to disagree so I will say no more.My thoughts, that Langdon, even though he is not the number 1 guy in CSKA,like some here suggested, would make most NBA teams. That Navarro is and never has been a PG and still played as SG despite his size in the NBA.
    Cheers.Peace.
    p.s.
I would take Langdon ahead of finley any day.Langdon didn't have the genius Messina coaching him defence back then.
