Huge risk for the Suns when considering his injury history and the fact that he doesn't have a meniscus in one of his knees.

He only had a piece of it removed. No doubt that our medical staff have given the okay on this.

Wouldn't that still leave 10 more mil?

Edit: Ok i think i get what you guys are saying.

Original offer was 4 year/48 mil. Add 2 mil to each year and you get 56 mil. Add another year at 14 mil on top of that.

Still, that's 14 mil a year for Bledsoe. What a risk. (Should also add in the whole 5 year length and no opt outs)

Wonder what happens now with the guard rotation.

No options on the five years. Our first offer was 4 years 48 mil. This is only 2 mil more. Most suns fans were content on going 4 years 56 mil. Best deal for both sides.
No way. We needed to max Dragic next season and should be focus on signing a reliable big man with the money, ie Monroe. We got IT for cheap and we were on pace to do that.

We're offering Bledsoe knowing his injury history, his current incapability as a good Pg(good player but not a good pg) , and now his diva character.

Dragic always had shown to want to be a part of the Phoenix Suns, hes commited as hell to the team. I hope the Suns work something to ensure they lock him up long term.
Currently too deep at guards. And Im guessing there's no room for Zoran, though Green will be getting minutes at forward. Someone gonna get moved. Too many talented guards who should command extensive play time.

    Dragic
    Thomas
    Ennis
    Bledsoe
    Green
    Goodwin

Bold prediction: he doesn't play even play 70 games in any of the next 5 seasons. Even with the best medical staff.

    Even if he's healthy, he isn't a 14m/year player.

    Chandler Parsons disagrees.

It's Phoenix, tho. You could send them Greg Oden and he would play 60 games on 30 mpg.

Big risk, but I guess Phoenix is thinking they could trade him down the line if things don't work out when the years on the contract get smaller.

Its $2 mil more per season. If they had let him go over a measly $2 mil, people would rioted.

    Not necessarily.
They have a lot of young players they will need to extend down the line.

Oh, thought the figure was 15 mil per year. Damn, 17 mil per year is just ridiculous
