as much as we would like to, we will never know what games he fixed, who won because of his officiating, or any other specific details about this crooked ref. the good news is that if the system really does change like this, teams with fewer superstars (yours truly, the pistons) come out on top.
2 more points:
1. i don't ever want to see the san antonio spurs CRY about another call again. if the league really is serious about this change, then they have no room to complain. if tim duncan was an official he would retire with no fouls committed.
2. it's good to know that someone stood up to donaghy for being the jerk that he was. that someone was rasheed wallace.
Donaghy’s time in the N.B.A. has been dotted with controversy. After officiating a game against the Portland Trail Blazers in January 2003, he was physically threatened by the temperamental Portland star Rasheed Wallace as they encountered each other in the arena’s loading dock. Wallace, whom Donaghy had called for a technical foul during the game, was suspended by the league for seven games; Donaghy was not reprimanded.
