Someone should make one of these about the Pelicans front office.
Don't trade the 6th pick and what looks to be another 6th to 10th pick in the following draft for Jrue Holiday and his 11 million a year for the next 4 years.
ROFL...damn.
Could have had Noel, a top 5 pick this year...and that is even before we talk about the terrible Evans signing and keeping Eric Gordon.

Nick Anderson was the greatest Orlando Magic player of all time before Shaq, Penny, and Dwight was drafted.

Jrue, Evans, Gordan, and Davis all looks great on paper. Looks like a team that can compete in the play-offs. On paper, a team like this looks good enough to take the Thunder to six games and lose.

At the beginning of this year I asked what the over/under was for the Pelicans in terms of playoff series wins for the next 3 years before the contracts start expiring.
We are already 1 year in and no playoff series win.
So you have 2 left with this squad. How many playoff series do you think they win over the next 2 years?
My guess is that odds makers would set it at .5. Meaning if they won a playoff series they would be beating the odds.
You don't trade the 6th pick and then another top pick (potentially like number 6 or 7) in the following draft for Jrue Holiday and his poor contract in order to give your team a chance of only winning 1 playoff series in 3 years.
Put it this way. If a team offered the Pelicans the 6th and 9th pick in this year's draft for Jrue Holiday. Do you think they would do it? LOL

that team got derailed with injuries....Ryan Anderson (back), Davis (hand), Drue (leg),Gordon (******).....
If they had a full roster they'd be wayyyyy better
Also the pick they traded is top 5 protected.
