Re: Boris Diaw: How would he do as a fulltime guard?
Boris Diaw has really good passing ability but there's a difference between having good passing ability and being the point guard who runs the offense. Secondly, Diaw would get eaten alive on defense by the pgs in the league plus he wouldn't be able to beat any PG off the dribble. But the worse thing about Diaw to me is his passiveness. As a Hawk fan who watched him play for a couple of years, I could see the skills he possessed but what was more glaring was his lack of aggression. Then he went to PHX and had a big year and the pundits were slamming the Hawks for giving him away. However, during that year, I told my friends that his season was a textbook case of contract year performance. He got the big contract, showed up to camp overweight and has reverted back to the Diaw we saw on a nightly basis in Atlanta the last couple of years.
