Sounds like an interesting "what if?" thread. Seems plausible enough. People act like his jumper is so broke that it can't improve. A lot of his bad shooting seems like it comes down to confidence. When he trusts the shot, we've seen him get hot and rattle off 9 or 10 in a row.

That had nothing to do with why he had a longer Nba career (And he was indeed still the focal point of the Lakers offense *particularly in the half court* up until 1986).
Kareem having a long Nba career had a hell of alot more to do with his playing style and skillset.
