Default Irving's clutch time stats are absolutely ridiculous...proves he's the MVP.

http://www.masslive.com/celtics/inde...ng_in_cru.html

Irving's per-36-minute averages in those situations (Last 5 minutes of a game) look fake: 66.0 points, 9.4 assists, 6.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 1.2 blocks, 57.4-percent shooting. The sample size is tiny at this stage of the season, of course. But over 30 minutes of clutch time, Irving has scored an insane 55 points.

With Irving on the court, the Celtics' fourth-quarter offense has jumped from 103.5 points per 100 possessions to 119.8.

Why do Kobetards only say stats are valid when they fit their agenda?

if he wasn't playing so badly in the first 43 minutes of the game the Celtics wouldn't need him to play well in clutch

I'm not sure that's the criteria voters use. Harden seems like runaway MVP right now.

But a good argument can be made that teams should prefer Kyrie to players that put yo more MVP style stats. Every team should prefer LeBron and Durant. After that, Kyrie might be the most desirable player for the short term anyway. He's definitely preferable to Curry despite Curry's more impressive overall stats.

Kyries provided a excellent blend of passing and defense in the flow, and signature scoring during high pressure sequences. He is best player on best team right now hands down.

Harden is clearly the front runner for MVP right now.

We've always said the most important part of a basketball game is the last 5 minutes.

Anyone that knows the game realizes the ability to score one on one in the last 5 minutes is the single most important skill in basketball.

We don't care about padded stats during meaningless times.

I don't care about the actual MVP.

I care about who is really the MVP.

The voters are not nearly as educated on the game as me.
