But this is...

Irving's per-36-minute averages in those situations (Last 5 minutes of a game) look fake: 66.0 points, 9.4 assists, 6.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 1.2 blocks, 57.4-percent shooting. The sample size is tiny at this stage of the season, of course. But over 30 minutes of clutch time, Irving has scored an insane 55 points.

With Irving on the court, the Celtics' fourth-quarter offense has jumped from 103.5 points per 100 possessions to 119.8.

Who was your real MVP last season then?

Oh so you want to ONLY use stats in that small vacuum b/c it benefits your weak agenda?

Unfortunately for you, every other stats screams Kyrie is no where no near the MVP race.

I don't care about meaningless padded stats.

I care about the last 5 minutes of a basketball game.

And I don't care about gimmicky offensive stats that will lead to minimal playoff success.

Check Harden's regular season numbers and then compare them to his playoff numbers. Do the same for Kyrie.

Game 7 Lebron had more points than Kyrie in 4th quarter and final five minutes.

If true, it still didn't equate to him wanting to have anything at all to do with the ball or play on the most important possession in Cavalier history.

He was not even a thought on that play.

Oh is MVP a playoff-based award now?

BTW last year's playoff numbers :

Harden - 29/9/6 on 58 TS%

Kyrie - 26/5/3 on 57 TS%

Take this L.

He made the game clinching FT to seal it.

Harden regular season - 44% and 35%.

Harden playoffs - 41% and 28%.

But at least his turnovers went down from 5.7 per game in the regular season to 5.4 in the playoffs.

Don't you get that his playoff drop off and failure is a reoccurring theme?

Kyries stats are deflated because of the train the Cavs ran on the east

Cool story. All things that have nothing to do with the MVP award.

Harden monopolizing the offense to pad his stats in a gimmicky offense is something highly intelligent fans don't take seriously.

We all know the end result with a Harden/Pringles led team when it matters.

And we all know Harden's percentages drop come playoff time.

Okay so technically, based upon a superficial standard that doesn't equate to postseason success, your boy may win the MVP.

Are you happy now?
