Interestingly the East has a lot of young talent ready to take over the NBA in a couple of years. Simmons (+Embiid?), Giannis and Porzingis all look like superstars in the making. The tide may be turning
For the most part the celtics are all super young too. It'll definitely switch some time in the next 5 years.

The top 8 in the West are much better than the top 8 in the East, while the bottom 8 in the East are much better than the bottom 8 in the West.

Grats guys, your trash is better than ours!

Excuses always to be made. The fact is, the EAst is as competiive or probably even more competititive than the West. You guys keep screaming “cake walk” when it suits your agenda, now you scream “bottom team and some bullshit about top 8 teams shit”.

In reality the top 2 teams in the West are better than the top 2 in the East. That is it.

Just admit you are wrong and be done with it.

Wrong about what? The East ****ing sucks. Pistons the 2nd seed? Pacers and Knicks somehow competing for the playoffs despite having 1 all-star caliber player combined lmao and now you've got people like Orlando Magic (Philadelphia 76ers) trying to use this year to retroactively defend the East in years past. It's an absolute joke.

The conference sucks. It will continue to suck, and has sucked for pretty much the entire millennium.

The argument was always about playoff path. The east is a little better this year in that regard now that Boston has emerged as a second legitimate contender, but you'd still rather see the raptors or wizards over the rockets spurs or thunder in second round, and caves or Boston in conf finals over the Warriors. The west is still harder to navigate for the playoffs.

It's all they have had for some 20 years now. The Least has been a pure joke, and yes, a complete cakewalk for Lebron's massive pay-roll teams to steam-roll into the Finals. Aside from the '04 Pistons, and the '08 Celtics, and two of Lebron's title teams ('12 and '13), the West has been FAR superior.

I didn't include the '06 RIGGED NBA Finals, either. When referees are betting on the Heat to win that series, despite being down 2-0...well, that's all you need to know.

As for Lebron's teams... 'they were blown out in '14, '15, and '17. None of those teams make it to the Finals had they played in the West. And same for '16. They beat a team that was decimated by injuries, and a key suspension, all occuring after they were down 3-1, and with Lebron waving the white flag. The reality was, they would have had to deal with two of these three teams,...San Antonio, OKC, and the Warriors, just to get to the Finals. And a strong case could be made that OKC was even better than GS. They were routinga fully healthy Warrrior squad, 3-1, and basically choked away that series.

And neither of Lebron's '07, nor '11 team would have made it thru the gauntlet that was in the West.

So, put Lebron's teams in the West since his career first began, and he likely would only have made it to two Finals.

If Lebron was in the West on a "tough" Western team he would've just been an addition to the talent full of rosters out there and made the Finals every year also.

Pick your poison

No need to "pick my poison," Unless he had somehow joined the Spurs, and taken a back-seat to Duncan, or joined a Warrior team with Curry leading that offense, he would not have made the Finals at all. And we already witnessed what OKC could do with KD, RW, and JH...just no chemistry. No way Lebron makes those teams better, especially if he would be taking about 10 FGAs per game.

As it was, with stacked rosters, and the highest payrolls in NBA history, he cakewalked to eight Finals. Move those same teams into the West, and they don't sniff the Finals in the vast majority of those runs.
