then you ain't getting **** and anyways he will opt out and come to chicago as a free agent and you won't get anything in return. So do it now and you could get a player like Ben Gordon, Nocioni, etc
Let's not forget we are in the driver seat right now and if we think later in the season Kobe plain to opt out if he could then we would do whats best for our organization and 29 team would make a better offer then what the H*** you are talking about. So be careful when thinking on the big level and telling us what we better do. Much love for the Bull and I live in Chicago...But keep it real...
Gordon, Nocioni, Duhon, P.J. Brown, 08' draft pick and a future second round pick for Kobe Bryant, Ronny Turiaf and this years second round pick (40).
We can sign either Steve Blake or Chucky Athins and select a SF with one of our second round picks. Also with the #40 pick the Bulls will have a chance to get Nick Fazekas. Another free agent the Bulls could sign is DeShawn Stevenson, who can give size and would be a good backup for Kobe.
Possible 07/08 lineup:
PG: Kirk Hinrich, Steve Blake or Chucky Atkins
SG: Kobe Bryant, DeShawn Stevenson, Thabo Sefolosha
SF: Luol Deng, 07' draft pick, Adrian Griffin, Viktor Khryapa
PF:Tyrus Thomas, Nick Fazekas, Ronny Turiaf, 07' draft pick
C: Ben Wallace, Spencer Hawes, Malik Allen
Players I could see go out of these players are Khryapa and Allen.
This could become a great lineup, especially if the draft selections are good.
As long as they keep Hinrich and Deng, then I'd be happy.
Gordon, Duhon, Nocioni, PJ Brown, 9th pick, and swap 2nd round picks. (Might have to give up Wallace, in that case we keep the 9th pick)
Bryant, Turiaf, swap 2nd round picks.
Personally I'd like to get rid of Wallace, we should have never let Tyson go, and Wallace just is to old. Kobe still has atleast 6 years left in him - put him with some huge upcomming stars in Hinrich and Deng and you have got the best trio in the NBA. Not to mention a really solid young core of big men.
But the final thing for me would come down to keeping Hinrich and Deng on the team.
