It's also worth noting that he was hobbled in both Game 7s in 2013, having sustained an injury midway through the Pacers series.

Either way, 3 Game 7s is only a sample size, especially when he was hobbled for two of them. If you want to lend into them, more power to you; but the sample size comes with a grain of salt, and it's not really worth assessing such rarities of games for a player's career unless it's a superstar that's expected to perform superbly in them and has had a fair ration of chances to prove it.

The 2009 Heat had no business even making the playoffs with that roster. In 2008 when Wade was hurt and missed most of the season that team won 15 games. A healthy Wade improved them by 28 wins. They don't sniff the playoffs unless Wade puts up 30/8/5/2.2/1.3 and finishes 3rd in DPOY. In 2010 he lost to the same team Lebron lost to, and Wade put up better numbers.

lol what? LeBron and Wade had similar supporting casts in 2009-2010, LeBron won 60+ games, while wade was winning 44-47 games

Here's a comparison of supporting casts against the common playoff opponent Celtics in 2010:

Wade's "second option" Jermaine O'neal averaged 4.2 ppg on 21% fg.

Lebron had THREE players (Shaq, Jamison, Williams) average more ppg than Wade's second option in the series (Chalmers).

Scoring differential between Wade and his second option: 22 ppg

Scoring differential between Lebron and his FOURTH option: 15 ppg

Chalmers was second to Wade in apg at 2.6. Williams was second to Lebron in apg at 5.5.

Assist differential between Wade and Chalmers: 4.2 apg

Assist differential between Lebron and Williams: 1.7 apg

    Wade's supporting cast collectively shot 40%, Lebron's shot 45%.

GTFOH with that "similar supporting cast" nonsense. That's an absolute joke. And Wade's supporting cast in 2009 was arguably the worst in the league. Wade would have KILLED to have Mo Williams on that team.
