Nah. Had a coworker that explained to me why movies are better than TV shows. You watch it within 2 hours and you're done. TV show take time. Sometimes producers bullshit episodes. There are some TV shows worthy of watching but if you ask me, put the budget in producing more movies with better actors and plot.

Yes. A movie is done in 2 hours. Television shows go on for years (some even decades.)

Bedelia is a series regular now, we're in for a treat.

On topic: Mad Men, some episodes of Gane of Thrones, The Sopranos, Hannibal and Breaking Bad are just better than any movie I've seen in years.

The thing is finding a great show that you enjoy watching

100% yes. Most movies underwhelm and I find it hard to truly get invested in a story that starts and is finished within 2 hours. I need character development, like reading a book. I'd rather take my time to read a novel than a good short story.

Unless the TV show has great production values, not just budget wise, I'd rather watch movies. Hand picked movies>>>hand picked shows.

Watching a movie is a risk to me, since I might not even get into the movie and it'd be a waste of 2 hours.

If I am a fan of a series though, I'm pretty sure I'll at least be somewhat entertained by watching one of the episodes from it.

So many times I'll just watch my favorite series instead of watching a movie.

I find that series tend to be more diluted, since you have to spread out what happens over multiple episodes, even multiple seasons. Inevitably theres a lot of filler.

Whereas a film ideally is created because there is a particular topic or story to be told, and it gets right down to telling it in whatever is the most effective way possible.

Tho sometimes movies end up disappointeing because you start watching and you feel like the story has a lot of potential, but it doesnt end up being satisfyingly filled out due to the time constraints of being made for a standard theater viewing.

If the story that needs to be told takes four or five hours, so be it IMO. But obviously in these cases it has to be made for home release, so youre arent gonna get too many big budget projects going that route.
