Default It's a scary thought when our leaders refuse to acknowledge the enemy

Both Obama and Hillary for what seems like the hundredth time, refuse to acknowledge that a form of "Radical Islam" is behind these attacks.

What I don't get is that it was common knowledge that it was Radical Islam after 9/11, but in the terror attacks since Obama and Co. have been in office, it's either: A. Workplace Violence or B. Just Terrorism.

How stupid do they think we are? In this age of technology and information at our fingertips, anyone can find evidence of Islamic radicalism and their message on destroying the West.

Yet some of you want someone who refuses to acknowledge the enemy as our leader??

Come November when you're in the voting booth, the American body count from there on out will be on YOU.

Well the problem is that for Hillary, Obama, and other Hobbesian neocons who do the bidding of special interests, terrorism is NOT an enemy - it as an ally.

I honestly don't know what their problem is and the Leftists' narrative.

An Islamic terrorist declares alliance to ISIS and screams "Allahu Ahkbar" before killing 50 people that the Koran says are worthy of death and execution and we want to talk about guns?

Let me guess...these are the same people talking about pilot licenses during the aftermath of 9/11.

Give me a break. We just got attacked and the leftists are trying to spin this into gun violence.

How much do you think Obama gets paid not to say Radical and Islam in the same sentence??

The Brotherhood, which has their claws deep into the White House has a lot of money worldwide.

Dip our bullets in pigs blood. I hear they hate that shit. Guess what's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Guantanamo? Ham sandwich. Don't like it then ****ing starve. As for our leaders, I truly don't get it. I think Hillary maybe doing it because she's trying to ride Obama to the white house, mimicking his every mannerism. Obama wont say it because his name is Barak ****ing Hussein Obama. With a name like that...you kind of have to.

There are good reasons not to use the expression.

First, "Radical" doesn't have to mean violent... you could say that someone like Tolstoi, for instance, was a radical Christian. If you believe that Islam is a religion of peace, then having a radical commitment to the faith might actually be a good thing.

(By the way, the words Radical Islam partly became a political battle line in the US after being used prominently by French PM Manuel Valls, a Socialist... his personal hero is Clemenceau, the most famous leader of a party called... the Radical Party)

Secondly, using "Islam" instead of "Islamism" only entertains the confusion between the Muslim faith and particular political beliefs (as if Islam couldn't be used to justify very different political ideologies). Most people already don't know the difference... no need to encourage them. Words do matter and do get people killed, especially ones that are easy to misinterpret.

There are many good words and expression for you to choose from if you want to describe the "enemy" in ideological terms.

Depending on what you choose to stress, it could be "jihadism" (my word of choice because it's simplest and most accurate among those already in common use), "revolutionary Islamism", "revolutionary salafism", "takfirism".

But it's important to seek accuracy, especially since it is quite likely that political Islam could also stand for something good if interpreted differently (for instance, if it stood for a focus on charity, good works, and the subjection of power to moral standards, as in the Christian concept of human rights) ... and a "good" political Islam is more likely to succeed in the Middle East than forced secularism.

Western views on the role of religion in the public sphere are deeply influenced by a certain interpretation of Christianity. Similarly, there are a number of religious concepts in Islam, about reserving judgment, and men not usurping God, that can be used to reject religious totalitarianism.

    It's baffling...

Like if you were drowning in debt, but you refuse to admit you are spending more than you make.

You can't fix your debt problem until you acknowledge you have a spending problem.

What's the first step in AA? Step 1 is admitting you have a problem. Until you can come to grips with the fact that you do, indeed, have a problem, you'll never fix it.

If it were me, I would say the term, and use the term in order to encourage Muslims around the globe to speak out against allowing ISIS to rape their religion and use it for evil.

Im wondering what you think the real world impact of saying it would be. You think the CIA doesnt investigate muslim terrorists unless Obama uses those words? You think the FBI doesnt track them? What exactly scares you....about the choice of words...when it has no impact on those trying to prevent it? Unless you think it does...and if so I look forward to your reasons.

Because claiming it is 'workplace violence' is a lie. That's why.
