The rockets dont take any key free agents this year, don't re sign artest, and dont deal T-mac and just let both Yao and T-mac leave next season
I personally wouldnt mind because I dont see the Rockets doing anything with the current roster due to the injuries of Yao and T-mac. We are looking at 40 million dollars worth of people who stand during the game in their suits.
Also, I think that at least one of the big name 2010 free agents would want to come to Houston, and we have players like Brooks, Landry, James White so we have some pretty good young talent for the future.
i could see it happening. fans want to see big trades and solve the problem right away but getting into a big contract might put as back rather than help the team. I could see houston playing conservatively... in 2010 we will only have roughly 30 mil or so in contracts that including Yao Mings 17 mil (minus possible free agents coming in this off season). We will have a lot of room to play round with in the 2010 and maybe even in the 2011 season. T-mac is done and Yao might be done, if not done its obvious he will have an early retirement.
as much as i liked t-mac when he first got here and as much as i like yao, injuries killed their careers and its odd how both players happened at the same time on the same team. its really unfortunate but it's time for houston to look forward to the future...
the chances of Lebron coming to houston is probably slim to none... i was thinking we had a chance to lure maybe Wade if we still had a healthy Yao MIng and play the competitive contender card...
maybe joe johnson.. would love to get ray allen.. dont really know where houston will be going. Dwight Howard is the last young talented center. so we would probably look for a young post power forward like Al Jefferson (who is really a PF playing C)... i dont know if anybody is coming out of college like that...

How so?
From what I here, he is looking a lot better and is expected to be in the rotation next year. With T-mac gone half the season and Von wafer prolly wont resign, James White will get good playing time, and I def think he will produce.
Apparently he was working on becoming more of a defensive threat, and being able to score on the fast break and since the rokcets dont have a big slow center they will be playing an up tempo style of basketball leading to better opportunities for James White.
