McCain is an idiot, but this is a good choice. She's difficult to attack as she opposes corruption and is against Big Oil. She was a governor for 2 years, and she is not running for president unlike Obama.
This will go down as a brilliant choice for the Republicans, even Ron Paul has given this chick the thumbs up in regards to her economic policy.

She's under investigation for firing a Public Safety Commissioner for not firing her ex brother-in-law.

She is going to be the Dan Quayle of VP picks.
She has been a governor for less than two years. Before that? Mayor of a town of 6000 people.
McCain is a moron. What is the one thing McCain has over Obama? "He's NOT ready!!!!!"
McCain picked someone who is MUCH LESS ready than Obama. A 2 year governor from Alaska? Does she know anything about foreign policy? Biden isn't going to attack her, he's going to make her look stupid.

...and you know what? The Republicans still won in '88 with Quayle as VP.
On a side note, you gotta feel ****ty if you're in the Romney family. In '68 pops gets passed up for a first term governor for VP and in '08 Mitt gets passed up for a first term governor as well

That is true, but they won IN SPITE of Quayle. Dukakis was doomed anyway. Quayle got owned in the VP debate. Remember that? One of the greatest lines in political history. Watch.

So there is an ongoing scandal with her....
She takes away from the experience argument McCain has...
Isn't there any other women who could of been a better pick for the GOP?
If McCain wants Hillary's voters he should of asked Hillary herself to be his VP.
WOW.....was this a VP choice or a desperate move to some how steal the election?
And this pick for McCain at 70 plus is more important in a sense to have a good successor if (god forbid) anything happens to him while in office.
McCain is desperate and just got a hot Milf Housewife! Go on Pimpin!!!!!! LOL

Re: Sarah Palin for McCain VP?
Here's a nicely written part of a commentary on DailyKos:
DailyKos:
In addition to further associating McCain with the Republican culture of corruption, the Palin pick undermines one of his main anti-Obama narratives. It's going to be laughable to hear McCain assail Obama's supposed lack of experience after naming the first-term governor -- only one-and-a-half years into her term -- of the 47th largest state to be his running mate. Palin lacks any foreign policy experience, and is bereft of even the two core areas of policy expertise that governors are supposed to bring to a ticket -- ag policy (Alaska doesn't have much in the way of traditional agriculture) and urban affairs (Anchorage is the 65th largest city in the US, behind giants such as Corpus Christi). She's easily the least experienced running mate in recent memory, which is pretty scary, given McCain's age and his history of cancer.

Re: Sarah Palin for McCain VP?
Listening to her now she is now pushover, though, so Dems have to be careful not to underestimate this ticket. One thing McCain buys with this pick, which is important considering he's running against Obama, is media time. That's pretty important in trying to change the narrative to the campaign. She's supposedly pretty knowledgable about energy which is important for obvious reasons. If people are willing to look past experience for Obama then they sure as hell might be willing to do it for a 44 year old mother of five whose son serves in the military.
*edit* and also McCain may have well could have just found a main squeeze to have on the side
