Default The unthinkable just happened!

Mayo and Gay both played well on the same night.

Actually our entire starting 5 had great games. I wasn't expecting to win, but this is a good sign. Conley has been aggressive over the last couple games and using his speed to get to the rim.

Mayo-21 points(8-12) 5 rebs 3 ast
Gay-23 points (9-18) 6 rebs 2 ast
Conley-13 points (5-9) 3 rebs 7ast
Gasol-13 points (5-6) 3 rebs 4 ast
Arthur-11 points (5-11) 7 rebs

Gasol had 3 boards? He should have 5 or more boards just falling into his hands, because he was in the right place at the right time. Having only 3 boards, for a 7 footer, basically shows no effort on the boards.

I've been pleasently surprised with how Arthur has been playing since Iavaroni's departure. He is showing that he has got some game in there. In his last five games, he's put up;

@ NYK - 10 points and 7 boards
vs NJN - 10 points and 4 boards
vs DEN - 8 points and 9 boards
@ OKC - 6 points and 6 boards
vs LAL - 11 points and 7 boards

That's an average of 9 points and 6.6 rebounds over the last five games.

I think it's pretty convincing that if Gay and Mayo are to play well together. The ball doesn't need to be in any of their hands. It's should be in COnley's.

Now the problem is Conley bring consistent and having that scoring mentality. Hopefully the past few games have built up his confidence and the team will be playing better in the 2nd half of the season.

I think Conley's confidence will improve. Hollins has put a lot of faith in him and has given him a lot more freedom out there, which has allowed Conley to feel more confident and more comfortable out there.

I know it's early but, with Conley steadily improving and Arthur's offensive game still growing, I'm wondering what or who should we go after in the draft. We could use another scorer off the bench and some three point shooting.

Gasol only had three boards vs the lakers because he got into foul trouble.

Yeah I agree that conley is looking good. The last couple games lowry has looked absolutely horrible. Whenever he comes im always upset because conley runs the offense under hollins so well now. And lowry seems to be lost in it.
