Default Kobe for Gilbert

damn have yall heard of the trade for kobe and gilbert...they say Kobe for Gilbert and Blatche...but this would be better for both teams...Kobe and either Javaris or famar for gilbert, Young..yall dont need 3 shooting guards

I wouldn't get too excited over this idea. Its not up to Kupchak, Buss, Grunfield, Arenas, or Pelinka (Kobe's Agent). When it comes down to it, its up to Kobe Bryant who has a "no trade" clause in his contract which means he would have to waive that right in order for a trade to happen. The only way he'll do that is if he's going to a team that he wants to goto. Sorry, but Washington isn't one of them, especially if he's getting traded for a player he'd want to play with in Arenas. Chicago, New York, and Dallas have been the only teams that he has shown interest in.

Also, the only place it's being reported is in the Chicago Tribune using an uncredited GM as a source (which could be Kupchack for all we know). The story is in Sam Smith's column which is sort of a news and notes thing about the NBA, but earlier in the article he claims that these are the most important weeks in Bulls history. This reads like it's trying help force the Bulls hand but creating more competition.
