LeBron has had multiple seasons with a higher RAPM, PER, WS... and more dominant post-seasons and all-around numbers.

I don't get the hate for the Warriors brand of basketball. It wins games, it is a new, refreshing brand of ball we haven't seen, a PG is leading a team to championships since the first time in forever, a team that hasn't won many championships in the past, and led by an all round good guy in Curry.

So they shoot a bunch of threes? Who cares? Do what you're good at. Since when is it cheap, or considered flukey to do that? People always loved seeing a guy catch fire from beyond the arc. Now... you just get to witness it a hell of a lot more since the guy is so damn good.
Better season than any lebron has had maybe you should Check again on that and wake the f@ck up.. I would take 30, 8,7 with elite D any time slappy..

raw numbers-wise Kobe and Lebron both averaged more points and rebounds in a season and efficiency-wise Lebron has better seasons

    Lebron's 27/8/7 on 57% shooting/64%TS with a 31.6 PER .322 WS/48 > Curry's 30/5/7 on 50% shooting/67%TS with a 31.5 PER .318 WS/48

and Bran had 2 other seasons with above 31 PER

and we didn't even mention their ability on the defensive end

we don't even need to dive into the Playoffs
I'm a Heat fan, I remember that season very well.

I will take it back and say it is arguable, but for me I don't remember being this much in awe of a players ability. Curry seems like the more unstoppable player to me.

But yes, it is better than any season Kobe has had.

Yeah, Bron has to win for the sake of basketball.

This 3-point shot-jacking is ruining the game. I can't see how anyone who is a fan of the game can tolerate this crap. I mean OKC essentially lost because Steph and Klay hit some low percentage threes and that is bullshit.

It's a polarizing view of the game when you look at the TNT crew.

Reggie and Kenny are huge fans of Golden State. (Both Guards)
Charles and Shaq seem irritated by Golden State (Both Big men)

Webber actually is probably the more unbiased guy of them.

But yes, it is better than any season Kobe has had.

a full season consists of regular season AND Playoffs

Steph Curry has ZERO Playoff runs as the Finals MVP, Kobe has at least 3 championship runs that are better than Curry's based on stats alone, one might argue that Kobe's Playoff run in 2000 is better than Curry's based on what he did in Portland series and what he did coming back from injury in Game 4 @ Indiana.

It depends on what you value more. Either you value the stats these guys put up while facing lottery teams/bad defenses half of the season or you value their production in the Playoffs as well.

If you take both into account you can't make a case for Steph over either player. Imagine Lebron or Kobe not win a Finals MVP over their bench player in a Finals win he didn't even get ONE vote

Yeah, it seems that guards who took alot of threes(Reggie, Kenny etc.) are ok with it, while big guys or guys who played fundamentally sound basketball can't stand them(Big O, Chuck etc.)

My issue isn't even the threes. SA takes a ton of threes, but they have generally played inside/out over the years and a lot of them are high percentage shots created out of ball-movement. GS doesn't do that, the majority of Klay and Steph's threes are terrible shots and I hate how that gets rewarded/celebrate among fans.

It is bad basketball pure and simple.

its the same as larry bird letting cedric maxwell win FMVP .. when you have great selfless players that make everyone around them better, thats a good thing, not a bad thing. Curry was easily better player than Iggy in that series, Iggy just captured the storyline and won votes of media / journalists.

I'm a big kobe fan, but im not blind. When Kobe gets to the Finals, he turns an extra gear on his chucking, probably in anxiety of wanting to win FMVP since he was dogged for being a sidekick by guys saying the stuff you are saying now about curry. This warped his performances in the Finals pretty badly.. I mean he beasted against tougher west teams but almost always shot like shit when Finals came around.

Curry wont let your hate turn him into a selfish player like what happened to kobe though. He's too smart for that.
