Default Gerald Wallace

I think that what the raptors need is a SF to replace garbajosa in the starting rotation who is athletic, at least an average shooter, big dunker, and completely great all around player. One option is Shaun Marion, and the other is gerald wallace of the charlotte bobcats. He is a great shot blocker, great at grabbing steals, good at dishing out the dimes, and can dunk with the best of them. What I want to know is if u agree or disagree with gerald wallace, and any trade scenerios you would do.

Not bad but I'd rather go after Mickael Pietrus. He's a better shooter and likely will come cheaper (compared to Gerald Wallace).

I think that Gerald Wallace would be a great fit here but I wouldn't want for the Raps to spend to much money on him. If he would sign for a reasonable price then I am all for signing him.

Qwyjibo, I agree with you about Pietrus being a great fit in Toronto. He is a better shooter and would be cheaper. If Peterson leaves then I would actually want Pietrus more because of his shooting. We need to improve our outside shooting as Peterson and Parker are our only consistent 3point threat. Pietrus would add another outside threat.

EDIT: I forgot about Bargs as being a consistent outside threat.

i think ideally we would re sign mo pete, sign pietris and trade fred jones in te summer (although i havent lost faith in him) then we would have mo pete, parker, pietris and graham at the SG/SF area which i think would be pretty deep

Maybe Calderon and MoPete for Gerald Wallace and the right to keep our first round pick in this year's draft...

If we trade Calderon then we would be stuck with Martin as our bak up PG. No way in hell do I want that. We should keep Calderon unless he makes it clear that he isn't happy which I doubt becase he loves it in Toronto.

I think Wallace would be perfect for the Raps. I targeted him long ago as the guy we should go after this off season. Dont forget he can opt out of his deal, we may not have to trade anyone. I certainly dont want to trade Jose. He has played great lately and I think its a sign of things to come. Peitrus would also fit in nicely and would come for less money. Peitru is the better shooter but Wallace is more of an impact player on both ends. I'd be happy with either one.

What is Peitrus' contract situation?

I believe Peitrus is a restricted FA at the end of this season.
