Default 18 games remaining, 5th place, and still reason to worry.

As addressed before, it would be bad for us to get Bron in the first round, but i'd take Bron over dropping into 7th or 8th and facing the Pistons or Celtics.

As it stands:
Raptors 34-30 5th
Washington 31-32 6th
Philly 31-34 6th

Now I suppose that best case scenario we drop into the 6th spot and end up facing Orlando in the first round, but at the rate we're going, Washington and Philly are hanging around and could pass us if Bosh doesn't come back soon.

Our final 18 games are against:
Mar 14 @Den 9:00 PM
Mar 16 @Sac 9:00 PM
Mar 17 @Utah 9:00 PM
Mar 19 Mia 7:00 PM
Mar 21 @Cle 7:30 PM
Mar 23 Den 3:30 PM
Mar 26 Det 7:00 PM
Mar 28 NY 7:00 PM
Mar 30 NO 6:00 PM
Mar 31 @Char 7:00 PM
Apr 2 @Atl 7:00 PM
Apr 4 Char 7:00 PM
Apr 5 @NJ 7:30 PM
Apr 9 Mil 7:00 PM
Apr 11 NJ 7:00 PM
Apr 13 @Det 6:00 PM
Apr 14 Mia 7:00 PM
Apr 16 @Chi 8:30 PM

Our April schedule is pretty favorable, but surviving March is gonna be tough. At the end of this month, we will have 74 completed games, and I'm hoping that we can at least be at .500 when the month is over. That would only require us to go at least 3-7 in our last 10. With games against Sacramento, NY, Charlotte, Miami, Chicago we should be able to manage (hopefully).

Not worried at all. Toronto at full strength is easily one of the best teams in the east. The only team we haven't beaten in the east this year is Detriot.

10 (mainly eastern conference of course) of their last 18 are against under .500 teams. But that does not mean a thing because some of those teams may be playing for a 7th or 8th playoff spot and step up their play. And the Raptors have shown especially lately that they can suck against bottom feeding teams. If they took care of business the Raptors would be in 4th challenging for 3rd spot.

In the end what matters is if they can get to the second round regardless of who they play. If they can't get to the second round then it is somewhat disappointing. However, they are not a contender to win the east this year anyways. Really the next stepping stone will be next year when hopefully they get a good swingman and maybe a rebounder and try to contend to make the conference final. But a lot of that depends on Bargnani.

That is if they play the way that has made them successful in some games; being aggressive on both ends and moving the ball on offense. Too many times this year they have not done these things. I am not so sure they have learned this yet. They do it for one game and then they seem to forget the next game what made them successful. It is extremely frustrating watching them sometimes.

I think they have the Joey Graham syndrome. Good-Raptors, bad-Raptors.

So what do you think our chances are against Boston or Detroit in a series?
... or are you saying that you don't think Washington or Philly could pass us in the standings.

We have 0 chance against Detroit, I think in a 7 game series Boston could be figured out and a beaten, we probably aren't that team though.

They could pass us but I don't think they will. Bosh's injury is said not to be serious so he's not going to be that far from returning.

I can see the Raps finishing 6th especially with the way Philly is playing ..which wouldn't be a bad thing considering we'd be playing Orlando ..

But if they finish 5th ..I can still see them taking out the Cav's in a 7 game series.

Either way I see them making it to the 2nd round.
