Default Stephen Curry - Did anyone know?

That he's Dell Curry's son? I had no idea until I read this article.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3326281

Quote:
The bus carrying LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers pulled into the arena at the same time Stephen Curry and his father arrived Wednesday night.

And despite all of King James' magazine covers, the commercials and NBA accomplishments, the baby-faced Davidson star was getting all the attention.

Davidson's Stephen Curry put up some LeBron James-like numbers in the NCAA tournament.

Returning the favor after James watched Curry score 33 points in Davidson's upset of Wisconsin last week in the NCAA tournament, Curry was on hand to watch James and the Cavaliers play the Charlotte Bobcats.

James then perked up when he was told Curry was born in Akron, Ohio, James' hometown. Curry's father, former NBA sharpshooter Dell Curry, was playing for the Cavaliers when Stephen was born.

"I didn't know that," James said. "That's why he's good."

I'm a new fan now!

How good do you think he could be? With his size, he probably won't end up as good as the premier guards in the league, but do you think he could at least be a good shooter on a team with a big man that gets a lot of attention down low and needs someone to kickout to? Salivating over the thought of him in a Spurs uniform, though it's not happening. I believe he's staying though, so whoever wants him'll have to wait another year.

I don't think he'll be anything in the league. He's too small to play SG and he's not a PG at all.

Apparently he's "100% sure to return to Davidson" and will start at PG there for next year. Going for 2009 draft as a PG.

They showed a clip on The Score of Stephen Curry as an 11 year old at ACC when Dell played for the Raptors, nailing NBA threes.

in 02 i went to game and went down to the court like 2 hours before the game to try see vince.
i remember seeing him playing against hakeem one on one for fun, and saying "why does he get to play on the court" and my dad said "he's probably a players son"
i would give anything to play hakeem one on one

dont matter, he's a shooter. if you can shoot the ball, you have a place on just about any nba team. You think matt carroll gets PT because he has size at the 2?

Quite the opposite. If all you are is a shooter and you are undersized then you are in trouble to have an NBA job long term.

oh really? well can you explain that to guys like matt carroll, luther head, eddie house, damon jones, chris quinn, hell even roger mason jr, and even greats like john paxson, jeff hornacek and mark price. Make sure to tell them that they are undersized shooters and tell them theyre gonna have trouble mking millions they already have or are making right now.
