Funny Games (2008)

I'm going to keep it short. This movie simply did not cut it. And yes, I did "get it". Lord knows, if you do forget the director is right there to keep reminding you thanks to it's in your face commentary. It's just a waste of some good tension and solid performances. It's just too bad that the movie has to be so smug. The whole remote scene was just stupid. It was the worst part of the movie by far.

3/10

Shane (1953)

Outstanding western. I'm sure most have seen this before so there isn't much that really needs to be said.

9/10

the Conversation [1974]: 100%

Gene Hackman was absolutely f*cking brilliant. I never realized it, but Hackman should always be in the conversation when it comes to elite male actors. IMO, he's up there with De Niro, Pacino, Nicholson...

He has a certain dictator feel to his acting. It's like he demands respect on screen, and forces you into his character, no matter how much you may hate him [Little Bill, Capt. Frank Ramsey].

Road to Perdition

2.5/5

Not a particularly interesting or involving movie. Just kind of there.

3/5 stars

It's entertaining at first and doesn't take itself too seriously, but the ending is rather weird

Really? You didn't enjoy it?

One of my favorite films and one or two scenes from it are great examples of terrific filmmaking IMO.

Nah, not my kind of movie. Right off the bat I couldnt adjust to Tom Hanks as a gangster. At first he was the all-business assassin and rigid father and then suddenly it seemed like he was the same character he was in You've Got Mail. Just didn't work for me.

Plot just wasn't all that interesing to me either. Not a whole lot of suspense. Seemed like they spent too much time trying to recreate the atmosphere of the time in which it took place, and forgot to add any real drama or excitement to the story.

Dunno, just seemed more like a background flick to me. There are some movies that if I pass by the TV and catch a glimpse of, I end up sitting and watching it all, no matter how many times I've seen it. I could leave that movie on in the background and do a book report without even noticing it.

First time I saw the trailer i couldn't help but laugh.. Friend suggested it, and I gotta say, it was a good movie.. Not really into action movies, but this movie did it for me.. Great acting by Liam Neeson, and his character "Brian Miller" was badass.. kinda like a BOND/BOURNE movie.. 4/5

3:10 To Yuma

84/100.

Would easily recommend it.

97/100. Best spoof movie I've seen.
