they are a team though, the pacers aren't a one man show. yeah george may be the most talented but they are an overall solid well built team. Melo on this team would have a shot of winning aswell if he played into the teams game plans.

the issue with george is he will end up being overpayed to be a number 1 guy and the team won't be able to afford to put solid players around him.

He could be a 20-22pt player his entire prime...his elite defense coupled with that makes him a max player. So many guys that do nothing but score get huge contracts, so to think George won't or to think not to pay him is frankly idiotic.

Melo can be the #1 option on a championship team but I don't think he's well rounded enough or impacts defense enough to be the best player on a Championship team.

Melo is a better fit as a 1B or 2.

Melo just isn't cut out for a championship ride. He just isn't that leader that improves his teammates and help rise to the occasion. Lebron has it, durant has it, and now pg shows glimpses of this.
