The New Orleans Pelicans acquired the draft rights to Cheick Diallo (33rd overall) from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for the 39thand 40th overall draft picks.

Diallo, 6-9, 220, comes off his freshman year at the University of Kansas where he averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game for the Jayhawks, while ranking 12th in the Big 12 in blocks per game (0.85).
