A source told the Dallas Morning News that Sam Vincent, one of the Mavericks assistants, is scheduled for a second interview with the Charlotte Bobcats for their coaching position.

Vincent is a finalist for the job vacated by Bernie Bickerstaff, who has remained the Bobcats personnel director alongside Michael Jordan.

Vincent is in his first season as a Mavericks assistant, following a year at Fort Worth as head coach of the Flyers in the NBA Developmental League.

Jordan has said he is looking for the next Avery Johnson, the Mavs' head coach, which would seem to speak favorably of Vincent's chances of being hired on the Bobcats' staff.
