Aren't gorillas estimated to have at least 5 times the strength of an average man? And I think the main reason if I remember correctly is because they have less muscle control. Which means that when their brain sends singles to fire muscles, it fires a larger group of them in a specific area, therefore causing a much bigger contraction of force which we see as strength.

But there's plenty of videos on the internet of gorillas breaking down banana or papaya trees.

An animal's natural ability to recruit muscles is much higher than a human because they rely on their muscles daily. Its no different than coordination and reflexes, the coordination is just on a muscular level.
