Default Are the bears really 7-3??

How? I guess that's what a easy schedule does.. Gotta give them credit though they win games.

The Bears are honestly the worst 7-3 team in league history. The 3-6 Browns are a far better team and would smoke them. They've beaten Detroit, Dallas, Buffalo, Carolina. GB is a legit win and MIA and MIN are decent victories but GB is the only playoff caliber team they've beaten thus far.

Defensively their front 7 is pretty good. Peppers even though he only had 2 sacks coming into the Miami game has been playing well. They've done a good job against the run. The secondary is decent and gets bailed out by a healthy pass rush.

Offensively this team is a mess. The line sucks and Forte is seemingly the only true playmaker they have. Knox is a nice #3 WR but hardly a first option. Hester is an even more extreme example. Olsen is very overrated and their QB is the most erratic player in the league.

I seriously doubt that for many reasons but I won't go that far. Sure, the Bears have had a very favorable schedule so far, but that doesn't take away for the fact that they have a great defense (#3 against the run) and a special teams unit that is just as good if not better than the Browns. No way Colt McCoy would be able to move the ball against them. I'd take the Bears at home and on the road.

The OL has improved over the past month due to Tice making some changes and Cutler hasn't been chased around in the pocket nearly as much as he was earlier in the year. The WR core is average, however the Mike Martz offensive system doesn't warrant a big time playmaker, that's not to say they shouldn't have one, they're doing fine with what they have and move the ball up the field pretty efficiently. The problem is their red zone offense and despite what you state about Forte, he is actually the weak link in that category because he's not a true power back who can pound the ball between the tackles into the endzone.

I've been saying this for a while. Bears need to put Forte at WR and Hester at RB. Forte is a better receiver than back and Hester can make plays with his legs.

They have also been very very lucky (CJ knucklehead/stupid rule gave them their first win and there have been 2 other pretty lucky wins for them).

when it's all said and done, we could possibly have the bucs, bears, and a NFC West team in the playoffs.

The poster is talking out of his ass. He won't respond.

Oh, and if a shit team like Dallas was 7-3 with those wins, they would hyped up as the greatest team in the world.

Whatever. All that I know is that they are 7-3 and in 1st place. They may end up with only 8 wins but no one knows that.

I know there is a big resident Bucs fan that is going to defend his team so I'll tell what's wrong with the other part of your statement. The Bears have s top 5 Defense and the best Special Teams in the league. Football is won in 3 phases; Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. If the Bears win 2 out of the 3 most weeks, then I don't see how you can question them.

The bears don't have what it takes to win. Can you really picture jay ****ing cutler leading a team through the playoffs? The guy sucks. This team will get bounced once they face the saints, giants, packers, or eagles in the playoffs.

not going to take anything away from the bears defense. how much 1 player(peppers) and constant pressure can make a difference for a defense.

my only concern for the bears team is their atrocious offensive line. teams like the giants and packers with a strong front 3/4 would eat them alive, and cutler wouldn't have a chance.

You act as if the defense wasn't any good before Peppers arrived. I don't believe you've actually watched the games.
