The best produced track would be his collaboration with DJ Premier and when you listen to it, it is mostly Primo's style. This was more like a mixtape album but it is being sold as a Dre album (soundtrack) but as long as Dre gets his name credited for producing. This sounds like nothing Dre produces and it is very significant because Dre is considered a producing genius and he failed here -or- basically just stamped his name on the album cover and credits.

    Below is track and producer.

    Producer(s) Length
    1. "Intro"
    Dr. Dre and Focus

    2. "Talk About It" (featuring King Mez and Justus)
    Dr. Dre and DJ Dahi

    3. "Genocide" (featuring Kendrick Lamar, Marsha Ambrosius and Candice Pillay)

    Dr. Dre and Dem Jointz

    4. "It's All on Me" (featuring Justus and BJ the Chicago Kid)

    Dr. Dre and Bink

    5. "All in a Day's Work" (featuring Anderson .Paak and Marsha Ambrosius)

Dr. Dre DJ Dahi DJ Khalil

    6. "Darkside / Gone" (featuring King Mez, Marsha Ambrosius and Kendrick Lamar)

Young Ricks II T. Cannon Craig Balmoris Julian Nixon Duckworth Ambrosius J. Mohrle D. Norman

    Dr. Dre Best Kept Secret

    7. "Loose Cannons" (featuring Xzibit, Cold 187um and Sly Pyper)

    Dr. Dre Focus...

    8. "Issues" (featuring Ice Cube, Anderson .Paak and Dem Jointz)

    Dr. Dre Focus...

    9. "Deep Water" (featuring Kendrick Lamar, Justus and Anderson .Paak)

Dr. Dre Cardiak DJ Dahi Dem Jointz Focus...

    Dr. Dre Focus...

    3:26
    11. "Just Another Day" (performed by The Game featuring Asia Bryant)

    Dr. Dre Neff-U

I was never a Dre fan to begin with (Chronic/2001 are enjoyable but hardly masterpieces), but this was pretty terrible.

The last 30 mins was a grind.

Interesting to hear such overwhelmingly negative opinions here. I respect them though (and only quoting yours because it's the most recent, T_L_P). That said, there's still actually a lot I like on this album.

So far, I agree that there's a stretch later in the album I'm not feeling at all (the songs between "One Shot One Kill" and "Satisfiction"). But the stretch from "All in a Day's Work" to "Deep Water" has been getting a lot of play from me over the last week.

Also, D.J. Premier's "Animals" has become a quick favorite, and I'm still digging "Medicine Man".

For all his uniqueness, I thought Anderson .Paak brought a lot to the album, along with Kendrick Lamar; it served as an interesting mix with the wily vets.

All these bad takes had me wondering how the album was received in the media - it seems to be doing pretty well (http://www.metacritic.com/music/compton/dr-dre), so I guess I don't feel too guilty for liking it yet. Though I guess the media sometimes trumpets music that may not be deemed worthy of such praise. Still, by the way it was getting panned by some here I thought it was going to be around 45% on Metacritic.

Kinda hoping it's good. I liked early 2000s Dr. Dre a lot. Hopefully he can make a solid finale

If there was any doubt that Kendrick is the best rapper in the world, his performance on this album solidified himself as that.
