I always wanted to check it out. Just never got around to it.

If you haven't seen it already, I assume you aren't the biggest Bond fan, so I would pass given it is easily the worst Bond film since the late Brosnan ones.

Dear John 10/10

Powerful dialogues, great emotions, shocking twists, the right cast, and just a flawless romance... from beginning to end, a true masterpiece.

Last Friday (Ice Cube, Chris Tucker and Mike Epps) - 5.5/10

Pretty meh. They could have left Chris Tucker out. I get the fact that it takes place 20 years later, but "Smokey" was nothing like the original character. Just not funny at all. Plus the whole angle of him and Day Day (Epps) beefing over being Craig's (Cube) best buddy was ridiculous. It was funny watching Debo and Damon go at it for a while. John Witherspoon was by far the funniest character.

I remember hearing the Bond chick in this movie wasn't really good either. I heard it's very action packed.

But I'm not sure if I can take everyone's general opinion seriously. People thought Skyfall was one of the best Bond films. My roommate and I watched it. He fell asleep and I just ended up dozing off randomly at times. Although at this point, we just finish finals the day before and were both kind of grouchy and tired.

Casino Royale was like a "must-see" movie when it came out. I saw it twice with a friend, loved it.

Watched Gone Girl over the weekend. It starts out pretty slow but once Rosamund Pike becomes integral to the film and becomes a lot more entertaining. You get the classic Fincher precision with the way the film is shot but it did feel like one of his weaker efforts. I thought the movie would be a little more atmospheric with the way it was shot but that might have just been an erroneous assumption.

Tyler Perry was surprisingly entertaining in the movie but I thought they kind of missed an opportunity with the NPH character. It could have been a more interesting movie if he wasn't such a putz but I guess they were a little limited by time and source material.

Overall I'd probably give it somewhere around a 7.7/10.

I never saw Tammy (I don't know anybody who did), but from what I read, Spy is many tiers above it.

It is action packed because it was during the writers strike, so Daniel Craig and the director (neither are screen writers) finished writing the movie without actual writers. So, yeah, plenty of action, but it is pretty bad as a whole. I have it as one of the worst Bond movies of all time, and as a fan of Bond, it also pissed me off for not having much of a Bond feel (also due to poor writing).

Casino Royale is my favorite, followed by Goldeneye then Skyfall.

Kind of reminds me to some extent on how I felt about The International. Some of it wasn't that well written but parts of it had me like, "really?" I felt some of the scenes could have been done better.

I remember watching this also on an airplane. It seems I always find random hidden gems on long flights.

This is just a pathetic out of the blue attempt to insult me, you should be ashamed of even trying.

Yeah. Here is an article and quote from Craig about it: http://collider.com/daniel-craig-qua...ript-problems/

Quote:
Time Out: It seems that the script is sometimes an after-thought on huge productions.

Craig: ‘Yes and you swear that you’ll never get involved with shit like that, and it happens. On “Quantum”, we were ****ed. We had the bare bones of a script and then there was a writers’ strike and there was nothing we could do. We couldn’t employ a writer to finish it. I say to myself, “Never again”, but who knows? There was me trying to rewrite scenes – and a writer I am not.’

Time Out: You had to rewrite scenes yourself?

Craig: ‘Me and the director [Marc Forster] were the ones allowed to do it. The rules were that you couldn’t employ anyone as a writer, but the actor and director could work on scenes together. We were stuffed. We got away with it, but only just. It was never meant to be as much of a sequel as it was, but it ended up being a sequel, starting where the last one finished.’

Put on Harold and Kumar (2004)- Going to White Castle on last night while I was doing other important things.

Didn't really realize it was that old. I watched it for the first time around 2006-2007. I remember it being on randomly at times during the summer.

Movie's a solid - 7-7.5/10. Good quick summer movie (I think it's less than 1.5 hours if I remember correctly).
