I don't know why DeRozan is talking about "Leaving when things get tough." The prime candidate to get DeRozan was the Lakers in the heavily favored West between the Spurs/Warriors. The Lakers aren't going anywhere soon. Staying on Toronto, making the most money of any team that could've offered him anything, in the weak East where they're not that much worse than the Cavaliers is the easier route out of all the decisions he could've made.
