Default Bobcats Bulletin: Weekly team notes

The Bobcats will be looking for revenge as the Celtics visit the Queen
City on Wednesday. In the first meeting between the two teams,
Charlotte suffered a heart-breaking loss as Delonte West connected
on a 22-foot jumper as time expired in overtime on Nov. 8 to give the
Celtics a 110-108 win. Emeka Okafor led the way for Charlotte with
28 points and 18 rebounds while Paul Pierce and Wally Szczerbiak
paced Boston with 35 points each.

The Bobcats hit the road after the Thanksgiving holiday as they travel
to the Motor City to face the Pistons for the first time this season.
The Bobcats are 2-5 all-time against Detroit with their two wins
coming during their inaugural season. Last season, the Pistons
swept the season series from Charlotte. Richard Hamilton leads the
Pistons averaging more than 23 points for Detroit.

Less than a week after rejecting a franchise-best seven shots at New
Orleans/Oklahoma City on Nov. 14, Emeka Okafor set a new high as
he blocked eight shots against Dallas on Monday. Okafor leads the
league with 4.1 blocks and his 41 blocks for the season are more than
the team total for eight NBA teams.
In addition to leading the league in blocks, he is tied for fourth in the
league with 12.0 rebounds, eighth with a .575 field goal percentage
and 25th with 20.1 points.

NBA All-Star Balloting presented by T-Mobile begins is underway.
Primoz Brezec, Raymond Felton, Emeka Okafor and Gerald
Wallace will represent the Charlotte Bobcats as fans worldwide have
the opportunity to vote for their favorite players as starters for the 56th
NBA All-Star Game. The 2007 NBA All-Star Game, which will air live
on TNT, ESPN Radio and in more than 215 countries and territories
worldwide, will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on
Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007.

``We were winning the whole game, but we finally finished
one out on their home court. This is a statement that we
can do it. We didn't fold. It's a great morale booster.''
-Bobcats Forward Emeka Okafor on the teamís win in
San Antonio

With their win over San Antonio last Wednesday, the
Bobcats recorded a victory over an opponent they had
previously not defeated. Charlotte also recorded its firstever
win over Cleveland earlier in the season. The teams
that th e Bobcats have not yet beaten include Memphis,
the Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas, Phoenix and Milwaukee

After averaging 20.0 turnovers in the first six games, the Bobcats have cut down on their turnovers in the last four games averaging 15.3
in that stretch. On Nov. 15 in San Antonio, the Bobcats committed a season-low 12 turnovers en route to their second victory.

When it's all put like that, everything sounds so positive, and if you hadn't seen the Cats record, you'd think they were one of the best teams in the league. But when you see their only 2-8 you just shake your head and wonder how.

They're a good team. But they are inconsistent and mostly important, dont know how to win games. In their short history they lost A LOT of close games.
