Default Lakers chances at getting harrington increased??

think about this. hawks arent allowed to trade or sign a player for more than one year. and the teams that are interested in Al are indy, gs, and LA. pacers just traded away their biggest expiring contract in croshere. golden state dont have any intriguing expiring contracts. that leaves lakers with mihm/mckie/cook all having expiring contracts. i'm not sure if hawks can S&T for more than one yr, if not, then it would mean they would have to sign Al to one year. LA could be hawks only place for AL. moreover, Al wouldnt mind goin there. anyways, I think this puts LA in a good position to get harrington

I have not heard any trade rumors in the last week or so that have involved the Lakers and the Hawks...

Milwaukee's chances just skyrocketed. Jamaal Magloire for Al Harrington or Joe Smith for Al Harrington. They have other players with one year left on their deal. Indiana is out of the picture unless Al Harrington is willing to take a pay cut to agree to their MLE. The Lakers and the Bucks can offer more. The Warriors are probably out.

I won't argue that point... but from a stake of reality, seems like we have some trade pieces that Atlanta *may* want in return for Harrington...

However, I won't profess to know whats really happening on the inside...

I hope we get him. He would give us another rebounder, some perimeter scoring, and some defense, all areas that we would like to upgrade in.

We need a scoring guard more than another combo forward.

I think its possible to get harrington but like traditionone said i, the bucks probably have the best shot...magloire is better than anyone the lakers can offer and he has an expiring contract...i dotn thik we have much to offer and i think atl will want at least something for harrington...but i hope we can work somethin out..he would add inside toughness to the lakers and we could play lamar at small forward where he is really comfortable and create mismatches..
