remind me of the '04 Final Lakers vs. Pistons. Shaq was the best player (on the Lakers) and they fail to go to him consistently in the second half of game 5. 2nd half of that game was Kobe ball............

The fucc is the point of this bullsh!t thread anyway? Lakers still lost because of poor officiating. Kobe could of been 8 for 21 or 11 for 21, don't matter. Refs weren't gonna let the Lakers win that game, period. By the way, Bowen's d is still much better than what the Celtics are doing to Kobe. Kobe missing easy point blank layups and open jumpers do not equal Good Defense. He ain't gonna miss those easy shots in LA.

The Lakers lost because they made less points than the Celtics.

30 pts
8 ast
4 reb
3 stl.
50% shooting.
13 pts in the 4th Q leading a monumental comeback.
Against one of the greatest defenses ever, on the road, in the NBA Finals.
Just like a Jordan groupie to create this type of thread.

yup, It didnt prove anything except...
Kobe was heroic, in the final quarter, bringing them back to within 4 points.
Kobe did not give up (unlike certain teammates)...he was fighting to the end.
Kobe gave his teammates reason for encouragement.
as for Gasol? he merely fed off of Kobe. Tell Gasol to play some tougher D, like KG.

If the NBA rigged it for D-Whistle and Miami after being 0-2. The NBA can rigg it for Kobe too.

Well....maybe the NBA hate Mark Cuban and Kobe...

Kobe's *****ing gave Ray Allen at least one open three. The man needs to shut up and play.

It was 47.8% shooting, but don't let that stop you...

Kobe didn't have a bad game by any stretch, and anyone who says he was "terrible" or anything like that is flat out wrong. But neither was he MVP-like or amazing. What you can say is that he was largely invisible/passive for the entire time the game was being decided (late first half, 3rd quarter, and early 4th). He made some nice plays late, but it was too little too late ultimately.

Kobe played well enough for the Lakers to win, but they simply had far too many brainfarts, both on offense and on defense. That's not how a championship team plays.
