Question Bonzi Wells. good/bad move?

No one has ever doubted this guys talent before, but he's got a very big ego that can get infront of him very quickly.

I hope he works out for the team, but i cant see him a Tmac on the same team as being a good thing. i mean where does wells fit in? off the bench. Im sure he'll LOVE that

what do all you hardcore rocket fans think?

actually he'll be the starting SG. and i dont think they'll be a problem with his ego. thats just bad hype surrounding him left over from his jailblazer days.

I dont' think bring Bonzi in is a good move at all. Rockets don't need a guy like him who can score a lot cuz wat is Tmac and Yao for? What they need is a solid distributing point guard.

co-sign. this guy right here said it best. i mean you dont just go far with Rafer Alston as your starting PG.

I laugh at anyone who argues that it's not a good move.

Bonzi Wells, all things good and bad taken into consideration, is an absolute NO BRAINER acquisition for 2 million dollars. It's called extremely low risk and high reward. The absolute worst that happens is that he doesn't perform and isn't happy, so the Rockets ship his VERY EASILY tradeable contract somewhere else for a role player in return. No skin off their back when it's all said and done.

The fact that the team's more apparent needs may be at other positions is really irrelevant.

Default Good move on Wells

I think Wells will do good in our team. I think he will help t-mac and Yao offensively when they're double teamed. We'll see. But i think over all the rockets going big this season if t-mac and yao can stay healthy.

Default TMac Bonzi Battier Yao

One of the best things about adding Bonzi is that he can get his touches easily enough off passes from Yao and TMac or when one of them is on the bench for a rest. TMac can get along with anyone who wants to win, and that fits Bonzi.

PG may be weak, but the only real problem is a center who can take major minutes in the post when Yao is down. If the season started today, who takes the minutes? Not Mo! He can't go huge minutes every night.

c'mon I think Bonzi will be good for the rockets...You know t-mac and Yao has suffered inguries...you always wanna have players that dribbled and drive the ball to the basket like bonzi...You need to see the last years series (sacramento and spurs) this guy was schooling the spurs and was unstoppable on the series...so my opinion is that he will be alright...i think he has matured enough...
