My grandma's feet are all swollen and numb. She can't stand or walk which she is required to do at least 45 minutes a day. She has been doing that and this morning she woke up with emflamed pink purple red veiny feet. I am worried but my family just tells me it's nothing and go about my business. But everyone is here.
Both of my Grandma's and my Dad had type 2 which is getting it through not eating healthy and being over weight. I don't remember my Grandma ever having any real problems with her feet but my Dad would. I guess sores are really hard to heal if you have diabetes. It's also common to have foot problems. I don't know why exactly. It's why I really want/need to stop drinking soda and start working out again.
type 1 is a genetic defect in which your body naturally cannot produce enough insulin to intake ur sugar. Your sugar ends up floating around in ur blood so ur muscles end up weak because no energy is going there.
type 2 is what is more common nowadays due to increased eating habits and poor diet and health choices. It also deals with insulin defect but it is mainly caused by overconsumption of food rather than a natural body problem.
