Why does every one think we have to make a mega team to make improvements. Vince is obtainable through free agency. KG will never play in Chicago-we dont have enough to offer for him. And why would Gordon be gone? Hes signed through this year. I would rather see Gordon back up a superstar than pretend he is one. This is how Id try to build the as with whats on the team and available.
C:Wallace/Grey
PF: B. Cook (via trade w/ LAL)/TT/Noah
SF: Deng/Thabo/Griffen
SG: V. Carter(FA)/Ben Gordon
PG: Capt. Kirk/ Curry
Why don't we save our cap space for next summer when the FA market will be one of the best ever? We can let Gordon walk, get rid of a few other scrubs, and sign KG, Kobe, Jermaine O'Neal, Arenas, Marion, or Paul Pierce. That is infinitely better than choosing between Wallace, Milicic, Varejao, Grant Hill, and Luke Walton. I bet Paxson is looking ahead to next year and salivating, because it would be hard to reject a good offer from the Bulls. Big market, good young team, 4 consecutive years in the playoffs (counting next year), we could definitely get one of those guys.
If we could get him for Nocioni, Duhon and PJ Brown I'd be all for it.
i would too but someone tell me for christ sakes why does he have all that talent and plays so horrible in the playoffs???...id still take him tho cuz hed have a better team supporting cast and he wouldnt have so much pressure with the bulls rather the nets

Yeah I agree, but with the Bulls he'd be the main guy - with the Nets it's almost like they have 3 main guys. And now we don't have to worry about it since he will sign back with NJ.
I say we try to get some vet post player if Brown decides to retire. If not then start the season with who we have and try to deal parts of the bench throughout the season.
