Re: Does Durant Have the Potential to Become the GOAT?
Put it this way. Lebron thus far, is the only one to even come close to sniffing MJ status. Could Durant replicate Lebron's numbers, and his defense???

Cavs RS wins in lbjs first 6 years - 288
OKC RS wins in KDs first 6 years - 265.62 (I scaled this year and last to 82 games)
Cavs PO wins - 36
OKC PO wins - 24 (so he needs a finals appearance to tie)
This is all with a MUCH worse cast.
Cavs and okc performance in their first 6 years
1st yr and 2nd yr- both missed the playoffs
3rd-durant first round exit; lebron team first round or could not even make the playoffs if it had the same competition as oklahoma had.
4th yr-durant conference finals while lebron would still be a first round team on the west.
5th yr- durant finals while lebron misses the playoffs if its on the west.
LOL the great lebron. Lebron is just like oscar or young jordan. Overrated because of stats. But actually those stats are empty. Yeah jordan is all around but he never sacrificed wins to showcase his all around skills when he matured.

I love these kind of hypothetical posts that there is absolutely no base
But this is a new one.So what you are saying is he is sacrificing wins to prove he is the best all around talent we have ever seen.Do you have any proof(i know you dont but to prove a point)

Jordan statpadded too in his early career to showcase his talent. Remember him averaging 32 8 8. But once he matured he realized that he needs to involve his teammates and sacrifice stats. Whereas lebron went to miami coz he knows his style isnt winning anything without superior teammates.

If only durant had pippen and a defensive anchor like rodman instead of dumbass westbrook and perkins, he couldve started winning last year. Give durant dirks supporting casts of kidd and chandler and im sure he wins. Theres a reason why at the same age, durant had more success than lebron coz hes the more impactful player despite the stats. Its the same reason why jordan was a loser in his early years despite the stats same with oscar robertson. Durant just hasnt a complete team yet. Too bad they traded harden, I think harden can settle as a 2nd option and play like penny next to durant.

You are an idiot. LBJ is a superior playoffs performer than Oscar Robertson. Lebron is going to have the same number of championships as the Knicks after this season.

The guy is the dumbest poster in this forum. Just ignore this clown.
Re: Does Durant Have the Potential to Become the GOAT?
Hell no. Losing to Miami last year has him out of the running just like Lebron losing to SA in '07 or to Dallas in '11 has him out of the running for GOAT.
Re: Does Durant Have the Potential to Become the GOAT?
potentail sure a lot of stars do,will heunlikely.
As of this moment all Durant can and is known for is his scoring thats all,hes a taller more athletic Reggie Miller minus the huge playoff moments and being legendary at threes.
If Durant could improve his game and add other facets besides another way to score or how do i get another free throw

Is your gimmick to post the dumbest shit you can possibly think of?
