Default If the Knicks made the playoffs.....

I have been watching some of the games. Not all of them and not all of the game. But I have watched some here and there.

I posted something about this and I will say it again.

The teams that are winning in the playoffs are playing amazing defense and are hustling. They give effort on every possession and protect the ball.

They are diving for balls and using there bodies. I watched Kidd who has a knee problem play as though it was the last game he will ever play.

These teams have an intensity beyond anything you normally see.

If the Knicks were to have played they would have been embarrassed.

I was hoping they made for one reason and that was to be embarrassed, they would see what it takes to win.

The one thing I noticed about the Knicks were lack of effort especially on defense and taking care of the ball. They lead the league in turnovers. They just didn't play hard all the time and there were too many lapses and lack of focus.

They would have been blown-out in every game.

I hope these young players are sitting at their huge big screen TV's and saying to themselves: WOW......I have a lot of work to do and I see what it takes to be a winner in the NBA. Especially Frye and Curry.....

The intensity that these teams are playing at is amazing!!!!!!!!!

It's a shame someone has to lose.

So the Knicks routinely made fourth quarter comebacks all season long yet the never put in effort?

Knicks at 8th would give Detroit a more competitive series than Orlando is right now. Eddy Curry can score every time he gets the rock in the post. Dwight Howard can not be counted on to do that for Orlando.

Right, and Prince, Rasheed, and Billups would each score 20+ on 3's alone since we don't guard the perimeter at all.

By the way, why have a fourth quarter comeback? How about giving 100% effort the entire game? Teams who want to win do that. Of course orlando will probably get swept. So would we. I agree with bigdaddybluesman, intensity wins in the playoffs, defensive intensity. They had none during the season but I guess all of a sudden, they were going to be stoppers. Nope just doormats to the next round.

If the Knicks would have made the playoffs they would have done a better job than the Magic. They would have a game already for sure. I think that the Magic will be swept. The Heat as well.

The Knicks would have met the same fate playing the Pistons as the Magic are doing right now. The Magic are looking pretty bad, but I think that is partially because Detroit is just that much better.

The Knicks probably would have won a game somehow but there would have been a few 94-70 losses in the series and in the end who cares if you win one game in a best of seven.

I whole heartedly agree that the Knicks could give more thorns in the side of Detroit than the Magic tried to do.

remember that 3OT thriller at MSG? talk about intensity and compassion

I'm supposing that you mean a healthy Knicks team. Cause there's no way that the injured team we had at the end of season could scored over 80 points against the Pistons.

And I agree, the Knicks would have won a game if they had made it and been healthy. Maybe 2 if Channing Frye played well. But there's no way we would have won the series...
