So far we're 4-0 during the stretch
5-0 during the stretch

I say we should win at least 2 out of the next 3 games which would put us at 15-16.

Bucks lost to the Magic so now we're the 8th seed again

i can't believe it... the way this team is playing.

if melo and amare can get on the same page as lin, this team is a contender

melo should try and play like how pierce does with the celtics, he would be deadly in this offense.

I'm very impressed with how Shumpert has been playing lately, especially last night.
He was making smart decisions, and most important of all,he didn't settle for jumpshots. He was attacking the basket and only shot the ball when he had a good look.

Landry Fields also played one of the better games this season,he finished with 20 points on supreme efficiency (8-10 from the field).

Bill Walker is trash and Steve Novak should be getting all of his minutes once Melo and Amare come back.
Novak has been huge for us over this 5 game winning streak, same with Jeffries.

Jeremy Lin was obviously tired so he didn't shoot well in the 2nd half but overall he played decently. He made some mistakes but it's totally understandable,he's still learning.
20/6/8 might be the worst game since he got major minutes but it's still way better than our point guard play before.
Expectations for him are set too high,I see people saying bad things about him even though he played above all expectations yet again.

Bibby is even worse than Toney Douglas.

Also props to D'Antoni for that final play (Novak's three pointer),finally a good execution late in games.

Lin factor is who you should be thanking. Everything you said positive is because of the Asian Flu and the Knicks caught it!

And Novak even said thats a play they run for Melo and he finished.

I disagree about Bill Walker. He is ok but he is just a streaky shooter. Basically he is 6 fouls and a 10 minute role player dont expect more unless he's hot.

The problem is Walker is hot every 5 games. In other 4 he's shooting 2-10 or something like that.

Novak is a reliable shooter,he's shooting 48% for three.

If I want someone to chuck threes it will be Novak, not Walker.
Especially because Walker makes 10 times more dumb decisions than Novak.

And of course Lin had a great influence on this team. They wouldn't have won those games without him but we also must admit that other bench players stepped up,especially Jeffries and Novak.

Novak definitely needs to take Walker's PT. Having a 3pt specialist like that is much better then to have a below average slasher in Walker, his 3pt shooting will be a great asset if Amare can get going with Lin/Chandler/Fields.

As for Melo... He needs to stop being such a blackhole. This could be a really good team it's just up to Melo/Amare on how they play and if they can contain themselves

I dont think you even get what I mean. Jeffries Novak Chandler Shump Fields all got better because of Lin. The confidence they are showing is tied to Lin. Lin brought a quiet leadership and energy to the team. The Knicks officially became a team during the Nets game. Listen to how all of them speak before and after games. Players are more confident, depending on one another, playing with energy, excitement. No One is above the other players on the team.

I think if Novak can become a better defender and rebounder then there will be no need for Walker. Novak has to be willing to mix it up some.

This could be the team of DESTINY!

I really see great things for this team IF Melo and Stat can buy in!

That's a big if.

We'll find out soon.

It's not all about playing as a team.
If you noticed this team plays hard while we often play without any effort with Amare and Melo in the lineup.

If we want to be a great team we need to play team basketball as well as play hard every night.

What about Novak as the SF off the bench when Melo and Amar'e get back? That way he can still see the court while Jeffries gets good minutes behind Amar'e. Plus it keeps Bill Walker off the court.

Although they still need a back up center.
