Not a Kobe guy, but '01 "FroBe" would wreak havoc today. Dude is shooting over double teams and spinning on triple teams w/ defenders handchecking ...

Impressive performance. Also, didn't this game piss Shaq off?

I was a big Lakers (and Clippers) fan around this time (hopped off that wagon in 2004) ... iirc, this was the Kobe "turn my game UP" period. You could see Shaq starting to seethe after each shot. There's a game I think w/ Hearn and Stu where they wouldn't discuss the two's beef, but you could tell even the camera guys knew somethin was up by all the closeups they did on Shaq and PJax.

There is nothing about Kobe's entire career that is underrated.

they might have been beefing but I don't think Shaq was mad at Kobe scoring. I think their beef came from a fundamental difference in ideas of how to play ball.

Looks to me like Shaq set Kobe up a few times, even broke plays. It's not like he was trying to keep him from scoring.

Besides everyone knows Shaq only does the bunny-hop-after-made-baskets when he's excited. lol
