Re: Jason Kidd joins the New York Knicks on a multiyear deal
great pickup considering we had to deal w/ the likes of B-Diddy and M-Bibby.
Kidd will be an excellent mentor to Lin, and he even though he's old, and has fallen off quite a bit recently, he is a future HOFer, a great teammate, and knows how to orchestrate.
Plus, one of the better defensive point guards in the league.

Interesting.
Dallas might just go for a full rebuild now that their elder Kidd is gone. Unless they wanna be just mid-tier.
Good for Knicks. Kidd could wind up being a good leader for them.

J-Kiddy ?
It's very possible this will be a sign and trade with Dallas. Something like Toney Douglas + $3 million cash + 2nd rounder. What that would do is save the mini-MLE for someone else....like a Marcus Camby, OJ Mayo or Randy Foye....
Watch....I think that will happen.

Fun fact for Knicks fans: Jason Kidd's former first name was Ason until he developed a respectable jumpshot in Dallas.

OJ isn't taking the min-MLE

Dallas should trade dirk for picks and just start from scratch. They have no trade assets and they won't attract Dwight or CP3 next offseason.

Wow, did not see this coming at all! Kidd will bring some vet leadership and stability to the Knicks, great addition. Poor Mavs, looked like they were going to bring him back!

Good for the Knicks and for JKidd.
Jeremy Lin possibly making $10 million in a couple of years makes me want to puke in my soup. This pretty much tells him to screw off.

Okay Dallas. Might as well blow this season away and just get CP3 and Dwight next year.

Even if it's not we could use that package to sign and trade for one of those guys.
And I love this move. Kidd is perfect. Felton might be better, but Kidd is better for this role. His leadership will be awesome and he can also play some SG. Tyson must love this move too.
