Default Jason Kidd on his way home?

Quote:
Jason Kidd is not among those in Dallas who think Deron Williams is automatically headed back home. The 39-year-old point guard told Dallas reporters that Brooklyn, Barclays Center and Mikhail Prokhorov cannot be easily dismissed when discussing D-Will's future. He also reiterated that he'd like to be Williams' back up.

"I think going to Brooklyn brings a lot of attention," Kidd said Saturday as the Mavericks closed out their season. "The last professional team there was the Dodgers, so I think they’re going to be very excited. And then with the Russian owner [Mikhail Prokhorov], I mean, he’s not short on money so I think they’re going to go out and make a splash."

As for him, he said he'd like a two-year deal that would take him to age 41 and plans to talk with Williams during the off-season about being his back-up. As for returning to the Mavericks, Kidd said he'd talk to Mark Cuban first, but "at the same time business comes into play. So we’ll see what happens and we’ll see what the Mavs are talking about first."

I'd love for him to come back home to the Nets. Even though age has caught up to him (from the Thunder series, he was clearly getting beat by the younger guards on the dribble), he can still throw pinpoint passes and make the open 3.

I know some of you are Jason Kidd fans (Gigs I'm looking at you), what do you guys think about him potentially backing up D-Will?

That would be like a dream come true.

Come back to us Kidd and end your career as a net, this is where your jersey will be retired.

move Famar while his value is high and J-Kidd would be a nice backup for Deron. Wouldn't mind it at all.

kind of torn 50-50, MT--

i'd like to see him as a backup, but i'd also like to see the team keep building for the future. nets are not going to be contending any time soon, so farmar is definitely the better long-term piece for me.
