Default Devin Harris finally playing really well for Jazz, lately

Deseret News:

Right now, the Jazz couldn't be happier with Harris, who has been one of the team's most consistent players since the All-Star break. He has almost single-handedly willed the Jazz to a couple of victories, including Monday night's come-from-behind win over San Antonio.

In that game, he scored a game-high 25 points, including 12 in the fourth-quarter when the Jazz outscored the Spurs 27-16. That came on the heels of an 18-point game the night before and a 28-point game two days earlier against Golden State when he sank 8-of-13 shots, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range.

Harris is looking more like the player who made the NBA All-Star team three years ago, and he'll be a big key to Utah's hopes over the next four days when the Jazz play three important road games beginning tonight in Houston. The Jazz are missing five players due to injuries, including three guards, and will need Harris to keep up his hot play of late.

Hopefully it all leads to a trade in the off season. Regardless of what he does he's not a good fit. He plays one on five basically. Puts his head down and goes to the rim or throws up a jumper disregarding his teammates most often. He would be best in a 6th man role playing off the ball if he would accept such a role.

I'd trade him, but it depends on what they get in return for him and if they have a decent replacement lined up at PG.

Addition by subtraction. They have Watson signed and an option on Tinsley. They should be going after Nash and Dragic, maybe Sessions and Lin as well. Might have to be a sign and trade involving Harris or Jefferson or at least one has to be moved to open up the cap space to sign them ideally both.

Nash wants a 3 year deal which I think increases their chances of getting him if they want to pony up the money and the years to make it happen. I think he's worth the risk even at his age. He makes them a serious threat in the west instantly while they groom Marshall, Liliard or Lin to take over. Would be a pleasure to watch him run their offense.

Dragic is arguably a better choice because of his age. If they can't get Nash they need to go after Andre Miller. He still wants to start and that could happen if he comes back to SLC. If not him Tinsley is their guy to team with the youngster they need to start grooming.
