Garrard has never been beter than Mcnabb. HOF QB. But he's getting in on hype, media darling and Chunky soup commercials. Put Garrard in Mcnabbs cleats and he duplicates Mcnabb. According to you, right?

Mcnabb has been playing for YEARS and had a healthy Shawn Andrews for 3 of those years. Runyon was never a dominant pass protector. He's a mauler. Physical, agresssive blocker (mostly run blocker his claim to fame) and a good veteran prescence for your line. Funny these are the two names you cite Mcnabb played behind. Utter comedy. You want to throw out names who he played with? Lets start at the reciever position. We saw what Mcnabb did when he got actual talent at the position especially when the Eagles FINALLY added a legit #1 WR (Owens).

But somewhere during those years Garrard was just as good if not better according to you. But hey Mcnabb isnt having an excellant season. Lets talk up Garrard vs Mcnabb

Love how you don't mention Westbrook. As if he wasn't one of the most explosive and dangerous weapons in the entire league during his career. A total fcukin stud. Great offensive line + Brian Westbrook + Andy Reid is waaay more important to a quarterback than big name receivers.

I know, gobb. You're a video game player, all you see is QB's and WR's. There's other things that affect the game in major ways, but gobb has a very small brain and only has room in it for fluff and hype.

The achievements you are giving McNabb credit for are team achievements. Notice you have not actually used anything specific about how he plays to make an argument for him. You have no idea how he plays. You just watch the shiney moving objects on your tv and computer, and then repeat it. Literally the dumbest and most uncultured poster on the board. Tell me, gobb, if McNabb himself was so good, why did Reid trade him to the Redskins? And why is he sucking for the Redskins? (oooh, barring his one good game today)

A great offensive line and you can only mention 2 of them and 1 has only performed for 3 of Mcnabbs tenure? Not even the guy who protected his blindside starface? Much longer than Ruyon/Andrews did and was even selected to more Pro Bowls! Shame on you.

Westbrook was a stud but you still need recievers who can catch, get seperation, make plays if not big plays. The collection of talent Mcnabb has thrown to at WR/TE has been laughable. Somehow Westbrook was great enough to make this meaningless. Yet when Philly got Owens the offense was among the best in the league.

I see a QB who made the best out of what he had. Who never had a great OL his entire career. Who never had great talent at reciever position. Yet he still produced and performed. And somehow that was never good enough for starface.

Coming from the kid who says the reason Mcnabb INT are low is because he throws screen passes alot to Westbrook. And the reason his TDs are high is also because of Westbrook taking them to the house.

Because Reid is a dumbass. Who is LUCKY Michael Vick is making the decision to trade Mcnabb look good. He moved Mcnabb because he thought Kolb was ready, the future. Yet not only is Kolb a backup, he may never start for Philly barring injury or Eagles not paying Vick at seasons end. Mcnabb isnt here because of Vick, its because of Kolb who is watching from the sidelines.

Keep trying starfish. I'll own you in the other thread now because i'm sure you replied.

I bet starface saw one game like 5 years ago where Westbrook tore it up then decided that's why McNabb put up stats. What an ignorant response from someone who claims to know more about everything than everyone else. Him exposing himself here should shut him up about how everyone just repeats what ESPN says because they don't know shit about football but, of course, it wont.

Right this minute, Garrard.

McNabb is a little too in-accurate for me.

I'll disagree with this to an extent. I'm starting to believe that Reid knew what he had from the day he signed him. Not that he knew Vick would be this good, because no one new that, but that he had his potential starter with that signing yes.

There was an interesting interview on WIP last week. I don't listen to it that often so I don't know who it was but it was a guest who spoke of a sitdown he had with Reid back in '04 after we beat the Falcons in the playoffs. He said Reid was going through hours and hours of film on Vick just picking apart his strengths and weaknesses and what he would do to fix his game if he was on his team, even going as far to think of plays he would do with a player of his caliber. He said this is a toy that Reid has wanted for a long, long time and he finally has him and you see what he's been able to do with him.

You also have to look at what Reid can do with QB's. Look at that fat contract AJ Feeley got because of his play here, look at how he got wins with Koy Detmer and an old/over the hill Jeff Garcia, look at how McNabb is a potential hall of famer, look at Kolb's record and stats as a starter. You can even go as far back as to mention that his first year in Green Bay was also Favre's first year and the work he did with Brett. Did anyone else see the high praise Terrell Owens gave Andy last week? Wow. Long story short, I think Andy knew a bit of what he was doing when he signed this guy and I believe he had a vision of what he was capable of doing. Andy is stubborn as hell in his ways but I'm quickly learning to never judge his decisions as far as quarterbacking is concerned.

Now if someone in here is saying that David Garrard could have accomplished the same things in Philly that McNabb did, no. But Reid probably could have made him look pretty good.

Donovan McNabb has ALWAYS been a tad over-rated; David Garrard has ALWAYS been a tad under-rated, though he is inconsistent. Still for their careeer standing and ability on the field McNabb is better.

All that said, for this season and next year you should take Garrard. Garrard is consistently going to complete 60% of his passes while McNabb has NEVER been a very accurate QB and it is getting worse. Garrard is no Joe Montana obviously but by comparison McNabb's decision making is becoming Jeff George level questionable.

Only reason I'd even consider McNabb over Garrard if I was an owner is the fan support factor.
