He was not the type of person you would have leading your team.

And on the same not, I would definitely not be surprised if McAdoo gets overrated over guys like McHale, Unseld, Cunningham, and more. It's going to be the same ISH voters that look at his stats, and say some stuff about peak or prime (not that any of that makes sense or matters). They are going to overlook the fact, after those first few years, teams w realized what type of player he was and did not want to take him as their leader. He was not considered a "winner". He got shopped around and ended up as role player on the Lakers in the 80s. I mean there is a reason he got left out of the NBA top 50 and took so long to get into the Hall of Fame.
I thoroughly agree, especially with the part in bold.

Gasol's vote should count, he was better than Rodman. Gasol was 62nd in the RealGM Top 100 while Rodman was 64th.
I don't care if the vote counts. However, how many years would you call Gasoline a top 5 player in the l. Guy only made 4 all star teams. There is just no logical way to put him over a guy like Steve Nash or Dwight Howard.

If the OP is just going to count which votes fit his own personal agenda then we all mind as well just abandon these rankings all together because its turned into a joke.

He was the best bigman in the league along with Dwight and Dirk during the Lakers final runs.

He also led a team to a title, something Nash or Dwight failed to do and something that should be valued quite highly when factoring in the all-time greats.

Actually yeah, I change my vote to Steve Nash. I actually do have Nash ranked above Drexler in my all-time list. I forgot that this site doesn't love Nash as much as others do.

Also people need to do some more research on Elvin Hayes and not just look at his stats. He shouldn't be getting votes either. Hayes was a horrible teammate, inefficient scorer, & a choker.

OK. You won't answer the question. This isn't a single season award. Not even going to argue of ur take on that season.

Why does Hayes have more votes than Cowens? And suprised nobody mentioned Sam Jones with all the other players being voted for.

Again, why is Gasol's votes being ignored but Rodman's counting? Gasol was better than Rodman, yet Rodman's votes count and Gasol's doesn't? You either count them both or take them both out.
